Blocked aisles and walkways

Flags pallets, cages, materials and equipment left in a marked pedestrian route.

Materials left in pedestrian paths

Identifies staged material that has drifted out of its area and into a walking route.

Blocked emergency exits and fire doors

Surfaces obstruction of exits and fire doors, with the duration attached.

Obstructed stairs, ramps and access panels

Runs on the cameras you already have

Draw the zone, set the rule, set the dwell, count and confidence thresholds. Rules differ by area, shift and task, because sites do.

Risk & control objective

Blocked aisles, exits and fire doors appear in almost every Q3 paper, from warehouse racking aisles to hospital corridors to port walkways. They are also the classic finding that is true at the moment of an audit and untrue an hour later, which makes a periodic walk-round a poor instrument for measuring them.

The control objective is continuous route availability with duration attached, per route rather than per site. What the operator gains is a record of which routes block, how often and for how long — usable both as an egress-integrity record and, read the other way, as an operations signal about where material staging is being pushed into circulation space.
