What it detects

Cluster formation and headcount
Counts people per zone in real time and flags clusters forming where they are not expected.
Occupancy above a configured limit
Applies a maximum per area, including the excessive-occupancy rule the Q3 chemical paper attaches to high-risk zones.
Trade stacking and work-area congestion
Detects multiple crews converging on the same area, listed in the Q3 construction paper as a monitored condition.
Queue length and wait time
Measures queues at gates, counters, service points and test bays, with dwell attached.

How it works

Runs on the cameras you already have
Inference happens at the edge on your existing CCTV and IP streams. No new camera estate, no video leaving site, no cloud round-trip in the detection loop.

Draw the zone, set the rule, set the dwell, count and confidence thresholds. Rules differ by area, shift and task, because sites do.

Events push into your VMS, alerting and reporting stack through Fogsphere Manager, with dashboards broken down by area, shift and crew.
Risk & control objective
Congestion is where safety and operations meet, which is why it sits in the Operations Intelligence stream rather than under Safety alone. A cluster of people in the wrong place at the wrong time is a queue, a bottleneck, a trade-stacking conflict and an evacuation constraint simultaneously — the same observation answers all four questions.
The control objective is visibility of where and when people accumulate, expressed as a rate rather than an anecdote. That feeds scheduling and layout decisions on the operations side, occupancy limits and muster planning on the safety side, and gives an emergency response an actual headcount instead of a roll-call carried out under pressure.
