What it detects

Guards missing, open, removed or bypassed
Reports the guarding state of an asset continuously, rather than at the interval a periodic inspection happens to sample.
Hands or body inside the machine envelope
Flags a person reaching into a machine, cell or conveyor while it is in its working envelope.
Pinch points and crushing zones
Covers pinch-point entry, crushing zones and exposure to rotating machinery on the line.
Maintenance panel or cabinet left open
Surfaces electrical and maintenance panels left open after work, including out-of-hours.
Emergency-stop obstruction
Flags an emergency stop that is blocked, obscured or unreachable from the operating position.
Unsafe jam clearing
Identifies reaching into running equipment to clear a jam instead of stopping the line first.
Conveyor hazards and access points
Detects access at conveyor transfer points, guard gaps and unguarded returns.
Lockout/tagout visual verification support
Provides visual evidence around the plant’s own LOTO steps. It supports, and never replaces, the formal procedure.

How it works

Runs on the cameras you already have
Inference happens at the edge on your existing CCTV and IP streams. No new camera estate, no video leaving site, no cloud round-trip in the detection loop.

Draw the zone, set the rule, set the dwell, count and confidence thresholds. Rules differ by area, shift and task, because sites do.

Every event is logged with camera, zone, timestamp and a clip, so the record is reviewable afterwards and usable in a corrective action.

Events push into your VMS, alerting and reporting stack through Fogsphere Manager, with dashboards broken down by area, shift and crew.
Risk & control objective
The same cluster appears across the Q3 manufacturing, food & beverage, power generation and automotive papers: guards missing, open, removed or bypassed; pinch, crushing and rotating-machinery exposure; maintenance panels left open; emergency stops obstructed. Each of these is a condition, not an event — it sits there until somebody notices, and a periodic inspection only samples it.
The control objective is a continuous record of guarding state and envelope entry, held per asset. Fogsphere supports — never replaces — the plant’s formal lockout/tagout and machine-guarding procedure: what it adds is the timestamped visual evidence that a guard was open on a given machine at a given time, so repeated interventions on one asset become visible as a pattern that maintenance and HSE can act on together.
