What it detects

Harness presence and lanyard attachment

Flags a harness worn without the lanyard clipped, where the anchor point is visible in frame.

Unsafe ladder use

Detects poor angle, unstable footing, over-reaching and standing on the top step.

Scaffold access and incomplete scaffold

Surfaces access to scaffold that is incomplete or untagged, listed in the Q3 chemical and manufacturing papers.

Proximity to unprotected edges

Flags people close to open edges and floor penetrations, named across the Q3 chemical, manufacturing and automotive papers.

Missing or incomplete guardrails

Detects open holes, exposed edges and missing edge protection as a site-condition signal.

Draw the zone, set the rule, set the dwell, count and confidence thresholds. Rules differ by area, shift and task, because sites do.

Every event is logged with camera, zone, timestamp and a clip, so the record is reviewable afterwards and usable in a corrective action.

Events push into your VMS, alerting and reporting stack through Fogsphere Manager, with dashboards broken down by area, shift and crew.

Risk & control objective

Falls from height remain the largest single fatality category in construction and among the largest in heavy industry, and the controls are well understood: harness and anchor, edge protection, tagged scaffold, correct ladder use. The gap is never the control — it is knowing whether it was in place during the hours nobody was watching.

The Q3 construction paper adds a second dimension that periodic inspection cannot supply: daily or weekly progress evidence with timestamps, and harness-compliance data captured as work proceeds. That turns work at height from a series of inspection snapshots into a continuous record, and gives the operator the leading indicators — unprotected edges, untagged scaffold, missing guardrails — while they are still conditions rather than events.
